DP Marketing Communications Fight Alzheimer’s With Glitter!


We are excited to announce that DP Marketing Communications are spreading a bit of sparkly joy at Northampton Town Festival and will be getting the beard oil and glitter out, whilst organising a Glitter-Beard-Athon Fundraistravaganza to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

There is currently an application to set a world record for the most amount of glittery beards created in 1 hour pending for the event on the 2nd of July. If you have a beard or know anyone that does please get involved and share this link with them. They could appear in the Guinness Book of World Records! There will also be a photoshoot on the day and coverage from the media. Glitter and decoration will be provided and it’s all for a good cause so get involved people!

If you would like to help us by getting glitter-fied just let us know via our email addresshello@dpmarketingcommunications.com. You will then be sent a fundraising form and all of the things that you need to help you in your fundraising quest!

Alzheimer’s Research UK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity, and funds world-class pioneering scientists to find preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia. The event will be taking place at Northampton Town Festival on The Racecourse, UK which is expecting crowds of 40,000 – 60,000 people over the course of the weekend. Its completely FREE to attend that there are plenty of other activities that you can enjoy on the day. Why not make a day of it?

If you have a beard and would like to get involved but are not able to make the event on the 2nd of July … you are still able to take part!

We would like to invite people that wish to glitter their own beards and raise money for Alzheimers Research UK to join our Bearded Legends fundraising team on Just Giving.


Here is how to join:

1) Visit our team page and scroll down to Team members and click “join team” https://www.justgiving.com/teams/glitterbeards

2) Once you have joined, invite people to sponsor you for glitter-fying your beard on the 2nd of July 2016 by sharing the just giving page on social networks and via email.

3)Glitter-fy your own beard on the 2nd of July and submit a picture to our event page. Best photo wins a pack of beardy goodies!

4) Together we raise lots of money for the UK’s leading dementia research charity so that they can preventions, treatments and a cure for dementia.
