An Important Update from DP Marketing Communications
A Message from our Marketing Director
“When I launched DP Marketing Communications, I was working with a small number of people and a few local clients. What started out as a small, modest company, has grown into a large virtual agency. Our team has expanded to over 30. Each brings their own skills and expertise that has increased our offerings to clients. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved, and the good vibes and relationships that we have with our clients.
This year, DP Marketing Communications has gone from strength-to-strength. We became a Limited Company, and took on more account managers to create, manage and improve our clients’ marketing strategies. The success that we’ve seen this year means that we are now legally required to have VAT registration. This means that from August 2018, we are including 20% VAT on our products and services.
“Thank you to all of our clients for being a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to working with you all as we continue to grow our businesses together!”
What this means for our clients
From August 2018, invoices will include Value Added Tax at 20%. VAT is a tax levied on products and services provided within the EU, and is paid to HM Revenue and Customs. If your company is also VAT registered, you will be able to claim back the VAT as usual. For those who aren’t VAT registered, you will be responsible for the VAT.
Clients with marketing agreements (pre-contracted installments)
Do you have a marketing agreement with us in installments? Products or services provided prior to August 2018 that are being paid for in installments are not subject to VAT. You will receive the remainder of your invoices, but keep your agreed payment dates.
For further information
We understand that our legal obligation to introduce VAT charges may affect your marketing plans over the coming months. Please speak with your marketing account manager if this is the case, and we will work with you to make a plan of action.
